crewel lavender bags
I have been a fan of Katherine Shaughnessy for a few years and did really learn to do crewel embroidery from her books called ‘the new crewel’ and ‘new crewel: the motif collection‘. She brings modern designs to the traditional craft and really has been inspirational to me.
I decided to use some of her designs to make lavender bag gifts and I think they turned out really well. Each bag has embroidery on one side and a matching piece of fabric on the other.
